Use of trees in the Sahel

The trees in the Sahel are used for different purposes such as firewood (see photo) and wood for construction, fodder for the animals, human nutrition (fruits and leaves), oil production (fern and shea butter), organic fertilizer, windbreaker, live and dead fence, and territory marking.
