CRIC5 in Argentina
Date: March 12th - 21st 2007
Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Contact person: National focal point

 Lauren Naville | 19.02.2007

The fifth session of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC5) took place from March 12th to 21st in Argentina. This session of CRIC focused on reviewing the reports on the implementation of the UNCCD in affected country Parties of regions other than Africa as well as discussing other themes of CRIC. Since the focus of this session is on other regions than Africa, DCG decided not to attend this meeting. DCG will nevertheless be kept informed of results of this meeting through its membership in eniD and through its collaboration with the Norwegian government. Furthermore, DCG hopes to be able to attend COP8 in September where more relevant issues for its work should be discussed. For more information on CRIC5, please visit the official UNCCD website. A summary of CRIC5 can be found on the website of the Earth Negociations Bulletin.
