Training workshop in Most Significant Change (MSC) in Eritrea - Postponed
Date: Postponed
Location: Asmara, Eritrea
Contact person: Lauren Naville, info at drylands-group.org

17.04.2007

A training workshop for members of the board of DCG Eritrea was planned to take place on May 14 in Asmara, Eritrea. It has however been postponed.

The workshop will start by presenting and discussing DCG's plan for monitoring and evaluation and will be followed by a presentation of an original tool for monitoring and evaluation called “Most Significant Change” (MSC). This M&E method consists in collecting stories that tell the most significant change that individuals or organizations experienced over a certain time period. This method thus allows to measure the impacts of a project or program especially on a qualitative level and allows as well to measure unexpected results. The MSC guide can be downloaded from the following website: http://www.mande.co.uk/docs/MSCGuide.htm

The training workshop will be facilitated by a representative from the DCG secretariat in Norway. Similar workshops were held for members of the board of DCG Mali and DCG Sudan. DCG Ethiopia will also be trained in this technique in June.
