DCG International Networking Seminar in OsloDCG Norway hosted the annual DCG International Networking Seminar in Oslo on June 4th, 5th and 7th. This internal seminar focused on monitoring and evaluation techniques and plans for DCG, policy work, the selection of advocacy topics for DCG to work on, as well as administrative issues. Training in Most Significant Change was also given to DCG members not having been trained previously.

Delegates from all four DCG partner countries attended the seminar and also participated in the international conference "Can Africa Feed Itself?" which took place in Oslo from June 6-8th.

DCG participants expressed their satisfaction during the evaluation of the seminar and pointed out that they had learned a lot in terms of M&E and advocacy/ lobbying methods. For the next international DCG seminar they would like to be able to discuss a specific theme relevant for drylands and learn from each other through the exchange of knowledge and experiences.

DCG International Networking Seminar in OsloThe DCG members were also happy that the DCG seminar was combined with an international conference where they also learned a lot and were able to network with other participants. A member of DCG Mali, Adama Coulibaly presented results from his research for a DCG project on plant establishment during this conference and received a lot of positive attention.

Proceedings from the DCG seminar are now available on the Intranet for DCG members. A book based on the presentations and discussions held at the international conference will be published later this year.
