EniD meeting in Oslo

DCG Norway hosted EniD's annual meeting in Oslo from May 25th-26th. EniD members from BothENDS (the Netherlands), CARI (France) and Dodo (Finland) attended this meeting. Two intensive days of meetings enabled eniD to accomplish the goals it had set itself for this meeting. The following topics were discussed: 
 

  • Update from each member
  • Feedback on the strategic plan for the UNCCD for the next ten years (work of the IIWG)
  • Information and discussion on the possible involvement of more eniD members in the Drynet project
  • Feedback from CRIC5
  • Information on the DESIRE project of which BothENDS and CARI are members
  • Preparations for participation of eniD at COP8 in September in Madrid
  • Discussion on the future work of eniD and the involvement of more European NGOs
  • Information on the TerrAfrica initiative, upcoming relevant meetings, and the CSD.

The next eniD meeting will take place at COP8 in September.
