A week long coordinator meeting took place at the DCG secretariat in Norway at the end of June. The DCG coordinators from Ethiopia, Mali and Sudan travelled to Norway to attend this series of meetings which focused on:

• The DCG international network seminar to be held in Mali at the beginning of September
• DCG internal issues such as information, financial, monitoring and evaluation, and coordination issues
• The policy work of DCG based on experience from the UNCCD and the CSD, and
• Collaboration with Noragric

DCG also took advantage of having its coordinators gathered to present DCG's work to its member organizations in Norway and to discuss how to collaborate more closely in the future.

The meeting was very fruitful which led to the decision of holding such meetings once a year.
