The 6th international DCG networking seminar
DCG organised its international seminar from 2nd to the 5th of june in Oslo, Norway.
The seminar brought together representatives from DCG Mali, Sudan and Ethiopia, consultants, research institute (Noragric), partners in Norway and DCG secretariat. The seminar will create a forum of sharing knowledge and debate.
The seminar was specifically focused on:
- Evaluations of DCG project in Mali and Ethiopia
- Results of evaluations in Ethiopia and Mali.
- Discussion on results of evaluations in Ethiopia and Mali.
- Results of Ecofarm evaluations in Ethiopia and Mali.
- Discussion on results of Ecofarm evaluations in Ethiopia and Mali.
- Discussion on DCG’s policy and lobby work.
- Discussion on up scaling of research projects like Ecofarm.
The main focus of the seminar was on the evaluations of DCG projects in Mali and Ethiopia, two-days of the seminar 2nd and 3rd of June were devoted to review the results of the evaluations. During theses interactive sessions participants were divided in small groups in which they discussed about the methods and strategy used during the evaluation process. The seminar was also used as final stage of the evaluation process.The evaluators presented some results of the evaluations to the audience and discussed the findinds with the participants.
There has been also discussions about DCG information work and policy and advocacy work in which participants came up with good comments and suggestions on how the policy work can be better connected to the information work. There will be follow up activities later on in Ethiopia about the informations and policy works issues drafted during the seminar.
