Women's empowerment in pastoral societies

This study on Women's Empowerment is part of a process of increasing awareness and enhancing knowledge on the status of Pastoralism and facilitating informed advocacy, identify global lessons and provide universal recommendations for policy and practice.

The study is a global view of different experiences and good practice, based on case studies and success stories on women empowerment processes among the pastoral societies. The aim of this study is to support advocacy and to develop awareness of some of the options for sustainable pastoral development, which will be shared with policy makers and development/conservation practitioners in the form of a policy brief.
