DCG's participation at CRIC3
DCG attended in May the last Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (CRIC3) which took place in Bonn. DCG participated at this conference with a large delegation comprising 5 partners from member organizations in the South and 3 from the North. We were given the chance to profile ourselves thanks to a presentation in the plenary on participation of civil society actors and involvement in the eniD side-event which focused on the same theme. Here is an eniD report on which the side-event was partly based. A compilation of presentations at this side-event will also soon be available. DCG also presented a new publication at CRIC3 namely a Promising Practice on Integrated Plant Nutrient Management in Mali. The participation of DCG at this CRIC was seen as a success notably thanks to valuable partnerships and collaborative work. DCG is now looking forward to participate at the 7th Conference of the Parties (COP7) which will take place in Nairobi, Kenya from October 17th to 28th 2005.
