During this workshop organized by CARE Mali in collaboration with CARE Niger, the members of DCG were informed about the savings and credit approach called ‘Women’s hope’ or MJT that was started in Niger where it is called MMD. This program offers a group of women the possibility to create savings on the basis of weekly contributions. These savings are then given with credit to women so that they can engage in income generating activities without external funds. Thanks to this workshop, organizations will in the future be able to use these experiences when dealing with similar projects involving women groups, especially in terms of administration and project functionality.
