DCG is currently preparing its participation at the 7th Conference of the Parties (COP7) for the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) which will take place from October 17-28 in Nairobi. DCG stand material is being updated and participation of various DCG members is being organized.

In preparation for COP7, DCG Norway attended a series of meetings with members of eniD. DCG is a member of the European networking initiative on Desertification (eniD) with whom it participates at international UNCCD events. EniD used these meetings to prepare its participation at COP7, which will mostly consist in holding a common stand and organizing an Open Dialogue Session on October 21st which will be based on a commonly produced report under the topic "Crisis management and long term adaptation through local action".
