Maxime N. Compaore started an internship at the Drylands Coordination Group’s secretariat in Oslo on August 7th. The internship will last for three months with a possible extension. Maxime is a Masters graduate in Development Studies with a specialisation in Conflict and Development from the Centre for International Environment and Development Studies (NORAGRIC) at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB). He is a Bachelor of Arts graduate in Modern Languages – with a specialisation in Literature and Foreign Civilisations – from the University of Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso. He also holds a Secondary School Teacher’s Diploma from the National Teachers’ Training College of Burkina Faso. His educational background includes educational sciences and humanities essentially and he has many years’ teaching experience and working with Development Agencies. Maxime is keenly tuned to international and mainly African political developments. At DCG, Maxime will be assisting the other employees with different tasks.
