Desertif'actions, an international conference in the framework of the International Year of Deserts and Desertification (IYDD), took place from September 21st to 23rd in Montpellier, France. The conference focused on the issue of civil society and desertification. As a result of the discussions held in different workshops, an Appeal was written with the participation of more than 200 participants. The various participants are now given the responsibility of diffusing the appeal and pushing for positive changes in dryland areas.
