FACT: Fuels from Agriculture in Communal Development FACT Foundation assists partners in developing countries with know-how for the production, use and commercialisation of biofuels for local development. FACT Foundation is a network organisation linking counterparts world-wide. FACT executes field projects in several developing countries such as Mali and has embarked on a comprehensive Jatropha research programme. FACT has set itself the goal to become the world knowledge centre on biofuels for local development. |
Drylands Resource Management Knowledge and Practice Network The Drylands Resource Management Knowledge and Practice Network has been established to facilitate the exchange of practical and scientific knowledge on issues relating to conservation of indigenous vegetation and management of other dryland resources in the Sub-Saharan Africa.
This network aims to increase collaboration of work by bringing together different players who will share knowledge and experiences. They include leading government institutions, NGOs, universities and private bodies drawn from Mali, Kenya and Botswana. However, membership is open to anyone with an interest in the drylands and agrees with the networks information sharing protocol.
